evil sword at Imperial Capital Ayutthaya because Yunsung had passed through there previously.
When looking at the two of them, I think it's important to note the contrast of
their personalities. They both symbolize youth, but different aspects of it. Talim seems to show the innocence of youth, while
Yunsung shows the recklessness of youth. Both are looking for the evil sword, but while Talim wants to destroy it, Yunsung wishes to
bring it back to his country, regardless of its evil nature (though in his ending, he changes his mind.) Essentially, Yunsung is arrogant and hot-headed
while Talim is modest and calm, which leads to conflict.
Talim and Yunsung interact again in III, and their personalities clash yet again. Yunsung heard that the sword was evil, and meets up with Talim in Water Mill Valley, where he tries to obtain information from her and the children that she's caring for. In one of Talim's endings, Yunsung arrives and says he's disappointed that she destroyed the sword. (In Yunsung's ending, he realizes that the sword is evil.) They meet yet again in IV, where Talim warns Yunsung about the danger of the sword, which he ignores, yet again. But Talim later expresses to Yunsung's good friend Seung Mina that she believes in Yunsung, and that he's actually a kind person.
I'm not sure that their relationship has any, um, other aspects. Though, in one of Namco's Kimagure Watcher interviews, the event scene director, talking about the cut scenes, states that "you'll be able to see you-know-who with you-know-who..." next to screenshots of Talim and a fuzzed out Yunsung. Hmm. Hinting at something? They do bicker quite a bit in games, which can be a sign of something. But I don't really have an opinion on the nature of their relationship, aside from the interesting contrast of their personalities and actions :).
